Jordan x Opium Paris Air Ship - White, White

Jordan Brand x Opium Jordan Air Ship SP "Black Court Purple" - Jordan started out in this model Nike Air Ship are shoes that became the foundation for one of the greatest basketball icons - Michael Jordan. It was there that he began his professional career, even before his potential turned into unquestionable greatness. This model, designed by Bruce Kilgore, was Jordan's first choice before his first signature model, the Air Jordan 1, was created. In 1984, when Michael Jordan started his adventure with the NBA, and the iconic Air Jordan 1 was still in its infancy. design. Nike then decided to equip him with the Air Ship model to meet his needs and keep him comfortable on the pitch. The Air Ship came in a variety of colors, but it was the black and red that sparked the most controversy, leading to their ban by the NBA. This decision by the league became the starting point for one of Nike's most high-profile marketing campaigns, which helped establish Jordan as a global icon. Jordan Brand has partnered with legendary Parisian boutique Opium for the first time to tell a unique story with the Jordan Brand x Opium Jordan Air Ship SP "Black Court Purple" limited edition. The design of the shoes refers to the Moroccan roots of Opium - a history that took place even before the store was established. Young and creative members of the Moroccan diaspora, Yace and Mounir, founded Opium, giving vent to their courage and pursuing their passion. Thanks to this, they managed to create a boutique that is a community center and a creative platform. Their goal has remained unchanged since the opening of the store in 2001: to mark the presence of streetwear culture on the map of France and to inspire young people to implement bold ideas that push the culture forward. Designed at Châtelet, this special edition Air Ship pays homage to the origins of Opium. The shoe features signature stars and a mosaic pattern throughout, nodding to Yace and Mounir's roots. The mosaic pattern was created in a home studio and draws inspiration from traditional decorative zellige tiles handmade in Morocco. The premium leather construction combines an alabaster upper with black and deep purple overlays and blue accents. Additionally, the detachable Swoosh logo, under which there is the same intricate mosaic pattern, adds a unique character to the shoes.
